The invention relates to a novel type of sock, particularly for usual and orthopaedic uses and for all sports requiring such equipment, including the activities of walking, running, jumping, skiing or skating, and having sweat-prevention and vibration-prevention properties. The novel type of sock is noteworthy in that it consists of an actual sole (1) on which are arranged rails or channels (6) which will serve to dispose the shock-absorbing studs (2) mounted on narrow strips (2'). This same actual sole (1) will be perforated with holes (4). The invention applies principally to socks for shoes having sweat-prevention and vibration-prevention properties. <IMAGE>
