<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a fluorescent doe array tube for optical writing which has stable emitting amount of light by impressing a voltage different from that of the writing time at the non writing time at least one time or more to at least either one or both of a control electrode and a fluorescent segment electrode. CONSTITUTION:The emitting amount of light at the writing time is detected by light emitting amount detectors 12a-12c, and stored in a memory device 13. At the non writing time, a voltage different from that of the writing time is impressed to a control electrode and/or a fluorescent segment electrode. Alternatively, the same voltage as at the writing time is impressed at least once while a different voltage is never fed. The emitting amount of light at the impressing time is detected by the detectors 12a-12c and stored in the memory device 13. On the basis of the information of the two emitting amounts of light at the writing time and non writing time, a voltage to be impressed to the fluorescent dot array tube at the non writing time is determined and controlled by a voltage control device 11.</p> |
