PURPOSE:To shorten a time for changing a product type and reduce a product quality dispersion due to a device in the transfer device of a semiconductor assembly device by applying the constitution wherein a workpiece guide rail and a magazine guide rail are shiftable in a direction orthogonal with a workpiece feed direction, and the aforesaid rails adjacent to each other are so connected as to be movable. CONSTITUTION:When the transfer device in the title is installed for the first time, the screw 53 of coupling means 50A and 50B is loosened and an eccentric pin 52 is turned, thereby moving magazine guide rails 42A and 42B along linear guides 40A and 40B in a direction orthogonal with a workpiece feed direction 3. The positions of magazine guide rails 41A, 42A, 41B and 42B relative to workpiece guide rails 11A and 11B, are thereby adjusted. Also, when a product type is changed, transfer bases 8A and 8B are moved with the operation of motors 19A and 19B, depending upon the type, and the workpiece guide rails 11A and 11B are moved for adjusting the gap thereof.
