The invention relates to a male connector for a computer and/or telephone communication network. This connector includes an insulating support (1) in which are embedded connection terminals connected to lines of a connection cable (10). It also includes a rigid resilient (elastic) tongue (19) integral with the support (1) and inclined with respect to the latter, making it possible to lock the male connector in the female connector, by virtue of a shoulder (22) on this tongue. This connector is essentially characterised in that it furthermore comprises a sliding bolt (24) which engages beneath the tongue and is connected to the cable (10), in order to release the tongue (19), upon pulling on the cable (10), when the male connector is inserted into the female connector (42).
