<p>A child-resistant element in the form of an overcap (23) surrounds a rectangular-shaped nozzle (10) at the nozzle end of a manually actuated liquid dispenser (11), the nozzle being mounted for rotation between discharge open and closed positions. The overcap (23) has an opening (29) in its end wall (28) and is mounted on the nozzle (10) for manual axial movement between extended and retracted positions and is rotatable together with the nozzle (10). A flat surface of the dispenser body (11) in the retracted position resists rotation of the nozzle (10) from its closed position. The overcap (23) in its extended position permits rotation of the nozzle (10) from its closed position to its open position. <IMAGE></p> |
