The method and the system are applied in sailing at steering a ship along a pre-determined water course regardless of the visibility. It enhances the reliability and precision. According to the method, through a radiolocational signal from a ship radiolocational station are found, accompanied and measures the navigational parameters to coastal stationary sites, while through scanner signals are found, accompanied and measures angles and distances to the symbols of sailing enclosure. The data are processed jointly or separately and the information in a magnified scope is expressed in an analogous type together with the ship's contours along the active water line. The system contains a radiolocational contour for all-around scope of vision and a navigational computer (6), to the plug of which through the monitoring system (8) are connected board radiolocational scanners (9) and a programmator (13), connected to a scaling bloc (10). The outlet of the navigational computer (6) is connected, on the one hand, to the scaling bloc (10) with an indicator for situation and control (11), and on the other hand - with a grapho-builder (7).
