Appts. has a rotating milling cutter with a centralising device both of which are mounted on a supporting plate. The plate rotates around the object to be peeled and peels it as it is pushed forward. The object is pressed and centralised against a cutting bridge and as the supporting plate rotates around the object as it is progressively pushed forward, a spiral cutting action is obtd. Forward movement of the object is obtd by three spring loaded centralising rolls and/or conveyor belts. USE/ADVANTAGE - Peels long, rod shaped raw foodstuffs e.g. gurkins, carrots, peels various dias. and irregular shapes for short fibrous peelings easier to dispose of.
