A braking fluid pressure control apparatus in which the diameter of the master cylinder (6) is set to be small to make pedalling force for obtaining a required braking efficiency small when boost pressure does not rise as a result of the failure of a brake circuit provided betweeen an auxiliary power unit (2) or a boost chamber (15) and wheel brakes (4),(5), and the brakes operate effectively with a short pedal stroke when the circuit is normally operating although the diameter of the master cylinder (6) is small.
