The present invention relates to a vacuum metallized polyester film support comprising on said polyester film support in the order given (i) a coating of copolymer of vinylidene chloride, an acrylic ester and itaconic acid, and (ii) a vacuum deposited metal layer. The present invention accomplished an improved adhesion of said metal layer to said polyester film support and less pinholes in the metal layer.
