A backlight assembly and a display device having the same are provided to enable a lamp ground member to ground a first electrode unit of a lamp through a small number of single-piece parts and processes and enable an adhesion member to fix the electrode unit of the lamp to the lamp ground member, thereby reducing the number of the component parts and improving assembling efficiency. Plural lamps include a lamp body(11) and first and second electrode units respectively formed in end parts of the lamp body. A receiving vessel includes a bottom plate(32) where the lamps are arranged, and a side wall(31,35) for forming a receiving space by being prolonged from the bottom plate. In a lamp ground member, lamp guide grooves contacted with the first electrode unit of the lamps are formed. The lamp ground member is fixed to the bottom plate. An adhesion member(50) fixes the first electrode unit to the lamp ground member.
