METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MANAGING WINE INFORMATION USING RFID

A method and a system for managing wine information using RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) are provided to offer the wine information to a user by checking position and detail information of wines kept in a wine cellar based on an RFID tag attached to each wine bottle. A sensor(12) determines whether a wine bottle(21) attached with an RFID tag(22) is placed at a predetermined position. A receiver(31) receives a detection signal from the sensor. An RFID reader(32) reads information stored in the RFID tag depending on reception of the detection signal. A database(33) stores the information read by the RFID reader. A controller(36) controls operation of the RFID reader depending on the reception of the detection signal, and stores or deletes the added information or the information not found in the database by comparing the information read from the RFID tag with the information stored in the database. The added information is stored by matching with position information included in the detection signal. The detection signal is generated when the wine bottle is inserted or removed from each wine cell(11) of a wine cellar(10).
