<p>A lightweight reclining seat (100) is of a rugged structure strong enough to withstand the moment which is applied when a user is seated on the seat. The reclining seat (100) includes a seat (22) for supporting a lower part of the body of the user, a seat frame (23) supporting the seat, a seatback (24) for supporting an upper part of the body of the user, a seatback frame supporting the seatback, a pivot for angularly movably joining the seatback frame to the seat frame, and a reclining mechanism (60) for adjusting the angle at which the seatback is tilted with respect to the seat. The reclining mechanism (60) comprises a reclining arm (40a) having one end pivotally coupled to the seat frame (60) and an opposite end pivotally coupled to the seatback frame, and an adjusting mechanism connected to the reclining arm, for positionally varying at least one end of the ends of the reclining arm (40a). <IMAGE></p> |
