<p>The device for fastening the foot (6) of a dial (5) to the bottom plate (4) employs a post (1) comprising a first zone having a cylindrical rod (2) engaged in the bottom plate and a second zone in the form of a collar piece (3) which bears under the bottom plate. The rod (2) is held in the bottom plate by means of riveting (9). The collar piece has a thinned edge (10) capable of being deformed elastically. The thinned edge (10) extends beyond the drill hole (7) in which the foot (6) is engaged so that, in order to fasten the dial to the bottom plate, it suffices to insert the feet in the respective drill holes and to press on the dial until it is brought to bear on the bottom plate.
