The telecommunications system uses a number of decentralised devices (DU) each having a respective optical fibre line (OAL1) coupled to an optical branch coupling (V1) inserted in a common exchange line bus (DB). The signals are transmitted to the decentralised devices (DU) via a burst current, each device (DU) only receiving the related signal bursts, the reception transducer coupled to an operating point regulating circuit for the transmission transducer. Pref. each decentralised device (DU) uses a laser emission diode controlled by an operational amplifier with capacitive feedback. ADVANTAGE - Allows central control of transmission power of each decentralised device.
