A support device for a portable terminal installed in an audio device for a vehicle is provided to stably support a portable terminal without occupying an additional space and prevent head of a user from being injured in case of a collision. A support device for a portable terminal installed in an audio device for a vehicle comprises a support member(12) and sliding members(16a,16b). The support member has a rectangular parallelepiped shape such that the support member slides along the outer surface of an audio head unit(10). The support member has a rear opening, a portable terminal insertion section(13a) at the upper surface thereof, and an audio head exposing section(13b) at the front side thereof. The sliding members are installed at the upper and lower portions of the support member. The sliding members have guide rails(17,18) at the upper and lower portions of the support member, respectively.
