摘要 PURPOSE:To permit high-speed printing with low printing energy by a method in which a green material of alumina ceramics is molded by injection and sintered, and the sintered alumina ceramics is ground and processed into an alumina pin to be used as a printing pin. CONSTITUTION:A powder of a Al2O3-MgO-Cr2O3-based ceramic material composed 0.25% MgO, 0.025% Cr2O3, and Al2O3 as main component with inevitable impurties, together with a binder and a solvent, is subjected to a ball milling to obtain a slurry. The slurry is molded in hard metal molds by injection to form a 0.5mm.-diameter round bar. The green round bar is sintered at 1,600 deg.C for about 1hr in an atmosphere of hydrogen and subjected to a centerless grinding to obtain a 0.3mm.X40mm. dot pin. The pip is built in the head of a dot printer and printing tests were made. The results showed that abraded amount was 5mum on the average even after 5-billion times' dot printing.
