The aromatic copolyesteramide is produced by mixing an amide deriv. (A) contg. formula (I) having p-oxybenzoyl unit and an benzene deriv. (B) contg. formula (II) with an aromatic dicarboxylic acid (C) contg. formula (III) [Mixing mole ratio of (A+B) to (C) is 1:1; (A) to (B) is 1:10 - 10:1 , heat-reacting the mixt. under the N2 atmosphere at 250-300 deg.C, and heat-reacting it at 0.1-20 mmHg and 300-340 deg.C. The deriv. (A) is pref. 1,3- (bis(4-acetoxy benzoyle) diaminobenzene, the deriv. (B) is pref. 1,3-bis(4-acetoxy benzoyleoxy) benzene, and the carboxylic acid (C) is pref. isophthalic acid or terephthalic acid.
