PRODUCTION OF ANODE FOR ELECTROLYTIC REFINING

PURPOSE:To prevent an anode put in a vessel from falling from the meshes of the vessel at the time of electrolytic refining and to reduce the amt. of anode slime formed by using metallic materials compression-molded at a prescribed filling rate as the anode. CONSTITUTION:Metallic materials to be refined such as copper scraps or copper alloy scraps are compression-molded into a prescribed shape at >=90% filling rate. By this molding, the metallic materials having various shapes are adhered and bonded to obtain a high density anode. This anode is put in an insoluble vessel and electrolytically refined.
