PURPOSE: To make a traffic signal useful not only for people handicapped in signt but also for people handicapped in hearing by adding vibrating signals and sound signals to traffic signal lights at the crossing place where the traffic signal exists. CONSTITUTION: Cabinets 4 and 5 are provided near optical signals 1 and 2 of the traffic signal, control circuits are provided inside the cabinets 4 and 5, their inputs are connected to the light sources of the signal and their output are connected to sound transmitters, vibrators and time limit type optical indicators. The sound transmitter is preferably connected to a localization notifying oscillator and a crossing permission oscillator. Thus, since low frequency vibrating signals are generated, the traffic signal effective for physically handicapped people such as handicapped in sight or hearing can be provided. |
