<p>PURPOSE:To attain the effective use of a redundant part which relieves the defects by providing a means which utilizes the redundant part of a module for the relief of the defect of another module. CONSTITUTION:A microprocessor 10 contains plural modules which have the redundancy for relief of defects and has a constitution where a redundant part can be shared by these modules for relief of defects. If the modules R0 - R3 have no defect to be relieved, a redundant part Rs prepared for relief of defects of the modules R0 - R3 is utilized for relief of another module 201. Thus it is possible to attain the effective use of the part Rs for relief of defects and then to improve the yield of the microprocessor 10 with increase of small area.</p> |
