PURPOSE:To ensure that the heating capacity of an individual heat generating element can be easily adjusted, even if the capacity is changed and also post-processing can be easily completed by dividing a heat sink into a base and radiator fins, then arranging grooves in the base and assembling the radiator fins into each groove. CONSTITUTION:Dovetail grooves 4a are arranged on the base 4 of a heat sink mounted on a heat generating element 1. Each radiator fin 5 can be freely assembled into the base 4 of the heat sink and has an insertion protrusion part 5a for insertion into the groove 4a of the base 4. To make sure that the thermal conductivity of the heat sink base 4 and the radiator fin 5 is obtained as specified, it is recommended that a highly heat conductive paste-like material be used for a connection part between the grooved part 4a and the insertion part 5a. Thus the heat sink base can be separated from the radiator fins and therefore, the area of the radiator fins is changed by selecting between the numbers of combined radiator fins and the sizes of the radiator fins to be combined in accordance with the heating capacity of the heat generating element. Subsequently it is possible to adjust the heat release amount easily. In addition, as the base of the heat sink is separated from the radiator fin, these components can be easily processed. |
