PURPOSE:To reduce the scale of configuration of the equipment by providing a pointer transmission control section applying unified management of pointer transmission control and a display control section applying control to display a pointer and not giving a pointer transfer right to other conference equipment when the user moves a pointer. CONSTITUTION:A transmission control section 16 sends and receives control information 31 to execute acquisition of a pointer transfer right. The transmission control section 16 informs acquisition result 32 to a pointer transmission control section 17. A pointer transfer right is not transferred when a conference equipment having a pointer transfer right is making point out according to the acquisition result 32. In the case of multi-point connection, the communication is implemented with the multi-point communication control equipment and a transmission result 35 is returned as OK only when pointer data transmission 34 to all conference equipments is normally executed. A transmission result 35 is checked by a pointer display control program and when the transmission result 35 is OK, a pointer is displayed to a sent pointer display address.
