<p>PURPOSE:To attain both cursor indication and the reading of a bar code through the operation of one mouse by an operator by providing a bar code reading means and a line pattern reading means for a mouse pad. CONSTITUTION:The bar code reading means and the line pattern reading means for the mouse pad are provided. For instance, when the mouse is moved in the direction of an arrow mark on the symbol signal of the bar code, an analog current waveform is obtained at the element A of a component. By digitizing this analog current waveform by an adequate threshold T.L, the bar code can be detected as a digital signal output waveform. Thus, since both functions are combined, the range of the use of the mouse as the input means of a computer can be expanded.</p> |
