摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the subject calcined material suitable for a food additive, a fertilizer and a feed for animals and plants by regularly and very tightly packing and arranging scallop shells and oyster shells as waste matters in a special dry distillation oven so that the highest heat accumulation and heat retaining effect may be obtained, and calcining the shells at the most suitable high temperature in a short time. CONSTITUTION:Scallop shells and oyster shells are regularly arranged in a calcination oven so that they may be packed mutually tightly in the vertical and horizontal directions. An air interception effect and an airtightness-keeping effect due to non-combustible gases generated by heating the shells and a heat accumulation-facilitation effect due to combustible gases produced simultaneously are effectively utilized. The mixture ratio between the shells and a fuel for heating is controlled to the most suitable value and calcination is carried out using a direct heating method at a specified high temperature within a specified short time without using an electrical means, thus producing the objective activated nutrient.
