CARBON FIBER-REINFORCED MOLDED ARTICLE HAVING LOW ANISOTROPY

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a molded article useful in a wide field as a precision worked article required to have high dimensional accuracy by compounding a specific carbon fiber to an aromatic polycarbonate resin. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is produced by compounding 15-30wt.% of a carbon fiber having a number-average aspect ratio of 5-10 to an aromatic polycarbonate resin, The number-average aspect ratio is 6.5-13 when the composition is to be molded with a screw-type injection molding machine. The obtained molded article has decreased anisotropy of molding shrinkage and mechanical strength and remarkably decreased anisotropy of linear expansion coefficient.
