The apparatus corrects uneven illumination in a slit exposing type copy machine. The apparatus includes: a lens (1) movable in accordance with the copy ratio; a lens bracket (13) having a shaft (10) and supporting the lens (1) to move together; two dimmer plates (8) pivotable around the shaft (10) and shielding the amount of visible light passing through the lens (1); and an adjusting plate (9) fixedly installed below the dimmer plates (8) for adjusting the amount of visible light by displacing the dimmer plates (8).
