AROMATIC POLYCARBONATE RESIN COMPOSITION AND MEDICAL COMPONENT COMPRISING THE SAME

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition improved in durability to ionizing radiation sterilization and usable for medical components by mixing an aromatic polycarbonate resin with a specified amount of a halogenated bisphenol epoxy compound. CONSTITUTION:A dihydroxydiaryl compound is allowed to react with phosgene or a carbonic ester to obtain an aromatic polycarbonate resin of a viscosity- average mol.wt. of 10000-40000. The resin is mixed with a halogenated bisphenol epoxy compound in an amount to give 0.1-10wt.% halogen atoms and optionally 0.1-5wt.% polypropylene glycol of a mol.wt. of 8000 or below to obtain the title composition. This composition is molded to obtain a medical component.
