The invention relates to a device making it possible to read and decypher chords and scales in music. It consists of two superimposed discs, of different diameters. The larger diameter disc carries the chromatic notes. The smaller diameter disc carries the essential basic rudiments of theory. It is sufficient to bring the terms "fundamental, tonic, octave" of the lower diameter disc to face a note featuring on the larger diameter disc, by rotational movement, in order to know the qualification and values of all the other notes. The device according to the invention is particularly intended to facilitate learning of the rudiments of theory.
