PURPOSE:To obtain ferromagnetic metal particles excellent in oxidation resistance with little deterioration by depositing azimino compds. on the surface of ferromagnetic metal material. CONSTITUTION:The surface of ferromagnetic metal material are covered with depositin of azimino compds. The ferromagnetic metal particles consist of a ferromagnetic metal material such as Fe, Ni, Co, etc., or ferromagnetic alloy material essentially comprising Fe, Ni and Co, such as Fe-Ni alloy, Fe-Ni-Co alloy, etc. The azimino compd. used is, for example, benzotriazole, 1- methylbenzontriazole, etc., and especially, benzotriazole is more preferable. Thereby, the obtd. particles is excellent in oxidation resistance, and the medium has excellent stable magnetic characteristics for a long time. |
