PURPOSE:To prevent a design surface from being damaged by conveying the opposite surface of a blank from its design surface in slide contact with a conveyance member in front of and behind a cartridge barrel formation position where the blank is formed in a nearly cylindrical shape. CONSTITUTION:When the blank 2 is carried by a conveying means 3 onto a core die 4, a punch which has an arcuate recessed part and both-side dies 6a and 6b which have arcuate recessed parts are moved to form the blank 2 in the nearly cylindrical shape by the die consisting of those core die 4, punch 5, and both-side dies 6a and 6b. At this time, the blank 2 is conveyed onto the core die 4 by the conveying means 3 with the design surface up. Consequently, the conveyance guide 3a is never rubbed against a design surface during the conveyance to evade flawing and a decrease in the product value of the cartridge. |
