A semiconductor crystal (2) constitutes a light amplifier in an optical cavity formed between, on the one hand, the front face of this crystal, this front face being semitransparent and coupling this crystal to an optical fibre (36), and, on the other hand, a diffraction grating (14) supported by a plate (64) which is deflected, by means of a piezoelectric transducer (66), within the limits of a control range, which can be displaced with the aid of a screw (68). This plate is itself supported by a swivelling body (54). The cavity is supported by a stabilised-temperature sole-plate (20). The invention is applied especially in systems of fibre-optic telecommunications. <IMAGE>
