The present invention is related to the paint industry and techniques for dyeing a plurality of articles. More particularly the invention refers to a process for dyeing glass and/or decorative crystals, a dye composition and the product thus obtained; the process is characterised in that it includes: a) sectioning the glass or crystal to the required shape and size; b) cleaning the anterior surface of the glass and/or crystal for removing any surface residue; c) mixing the components of the dye composition; d) applying the dye mixture onto the surface as follows: applying, in a first step, two coats of dye in a light colour tone; apply, in a second step, four coats of the same colour but in a medium tone; apply, in a third step, from 6 to 8 coats of dye of the same colour but in a dark tone; e) let the dye to dry for approximately 24 hours; f) apply an ultra productive translucent coat for protecting the dye; g) dry or let it dry; the dye composition comprises per each 1000 ml of VU-9 chromium coating: from about 10 gr. to about 60 gr. of automotive dye; from about 150 gr. to about 250 gr. of catalyst V-9 and from about 100 gr. to about 200 gr. of BT-reductor for obtaining crystals or glass whose anterior surface is dyed with the aforementioned composition and process.
