PURPOSE:To provide the titled remedy for psychogenic asynodia, containing the extract of EZOUKOGI as an active component. CONSTITUTION:EZOUKOGI (Acanthopanax senticosus [Rupr. et Maxim.] Harm.) is extracted with water or hydrous or anhydrous 1-3C lower aliphatic alcohol (e.g. methanol), and the obtained defatted extract is fractionated with water and butanol (e.g. n-butanol, i-butanol, etc.). The obtained fraction is used as the active component. Nowadays, the psychosomatic disorder and neurosis are often caused by the complicate human relations and works in the modern society acting as a psychological stressor; and the neurosis, above all the asynodia, is deemed as one of the serious modern diseases. It has been recognized by animal experiments using mouse that EZOUKOGI is effective to recover the psychogenic asynodia by continuous administration. |
