The areas where the plug and socket connect are sections of a cylinder which connect to form a complete cylinder. The contact parts (5) of the socket, and those of the plug (21) are coaxial and equally spaced. A radially projecting wall (4) is provided on the socket and a corresp. radial arm (23) is provided on the plug such that they fit together in operation. USE/ADVANTAGE - Protected against water and therefore safe for use in hand tools and domestic appliances. Needs to be twisted to undo and so cannot be undone by accident.
