62 New polyethylene-imine-contg. azo-dyestuffs are claimed ((D-N=N-K-)yX-)mP (I) (P=polyethylene-imine) where D is an aromatic or heteroaromatic gp. with no sulphonic acid gp. the diazo-component, and K the coupling component, a naphthol, aminopyridine or pyrazolone contg. at most one sulphonic acid gp., or a deriv. of aceto-acetic acid; y=1 or 2; X, if y=1 can be a covalent bond or a bridging gp., or, if y=2, a bridging gp. e.g. X=(II) where q=0-4; (III) where R7=H, CH3; (IV) where R8= mono- or dialloylamino, alkoxy 1-4C halogen, or a further diazo component.
