<p>A fluid supply device for the controlled supply of fluid comprises a plurality of diffusers (14) arranged to lie in series (11a, b), flexible connection members (30) for flexibly interconnecting successive diffusers and a fluid supply means (32) for the supply of fluid from a source to said diffusers, each diffuser having at least an inlet portion for the supply of fluid thereto and an outlet matrix having a plurality of passages through which fluid may flow, said flexible connection members providing at least in part a structural link between successive diffusers of the series whereby when one diffuser is subject to a lifting force that force is transmitted by a flexible connection member to a successive diffuser.</p> |
