The slot machine protection system consists of a coim-activated shutter (20) which generates a switching signal for later identifying processes. This signal is temporarily held in a delay memory while a wire sensor (24) measures the shutter activation time for comparison with a preset value. The result determines whether the memory signal should be wiped or passed on to an integrated electronic coin identifier. A sensor (35) detects if the coin path is cleared at the correct time or whether a 'wired coin' is being withdrawn. ADVANTAGE - Inexpensive and reliable. Simple construction.
