Mine-laying from helicopter

The apparatus is for laying mines from a helicopter. It consists of a helical chute (5) which is suspended outside the helicopter from a supporting frame inside the helicopter. A mine magazine (2) inside the helicopter is provided with a chute (7) which delivers the mines to the helical chute. An electric motor mounted above the helical chute (5) rotates the chute (5) so that the mines are discharged one at a time from the lower end (6) of the helical chute (5). The helical chute and its supporting frame can be retracted inside the helicopter when not in use.
