The ball neck with a coupling ball is for a trailer linkage for a passenger car. It incorporates a crank drive with a crank rod (14) for the release-of the connection between the hand wheel (13) and the locking bolt (5). The crank drive is connected on one side with a ball-shaped head (18) within the locking bolt and on the other side with a bolt (20) rotatably arranged in the cheeks (16) of the crank.
