Traction control for motor vehicle - computes grip coefft. to set threshold slip valve w.r.t. road conditions
摘要
Each wheel is fitted with a wheel-speed sensor and the slip of the drive wheels is computed by comparing their speed with that of the driven wheels. The grip coefft. is computed for use in setting the threshold slip valve. This coefft. is constantly updated for optimum traction control. When the vehicle is started the slip is controlled by regulating the motor torque and the initial grip coefft. is calculated directly via the wheel-speed dynamics and the engine torque. Subsequent control is via. slip measurements over preset time periods. The wheel spin is controlled by a combination of engine torque reduction and wheel braking. ADVANTAGE - Improved traction cotnrol, operates over range of road surfaces.
