The adjustable chair has a body (2) supported by a base (4), with a frame (3), which has sections (9,10) which define a seat and seat back (7,8) resp. A plate (32) is pivoted about a first pin (44) rigidly connected to the base and has its front edge rigidly connected to the seat section of the frame. A pair of bars (55) have rear ends (56) fixed to the seat back frame section. The front ends are connected, via springs (54) to a central portion of the plate. The plate and bars are hinged together. |
