PURPOSE:To obtain thermal recording paper having good thermal response and high sensitivity and excellent in white paper preservability and image stability by adding a specific compound to a thermal recording layer as a sensitizer. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording sheet containing a usually colorless or light-colored basic leuco dye and the developing substance reacting with the leuco dye at the time of heating to develop a color, a compound represented by formula [1] or [II] is contained as a sensitizer. The compound represented by the formula [I] or [II] is used in an amount of 1-100 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the developing substance in usual. Further, all of the usually colorless or light-colored basic dye, the developing substance and the sensitizer are used in a fine particulate form. As a support, paper is general but a film, a fabric or synthetic paper can be used and, further, an intermediate layer based on oil adsorbable pigment can be also provided between the support and the thermal layer from the aspect of the enhancement of sensitivity. This thermal recording paper has high sensitivity and is excellent in white paper preservability and image stability. |
