PRODUCTION OF HUMAN MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY-SECRETING CELL

PURPOSE:To readily and efficiently obtain the subject cell without subjecting a donor to immunological operation by transforming a human lymphocyte with Epstein.Barr.virus, then freezing and preserving the aforementioned transformed cell and thawing the cell in cell fusion. CONSTITUTION:A human lymphocyte is initially transformed with Epstein.Barr.virus and the objective antibody-secreting cell is then selected therefrom. The resultant transformed cell is subsequently frozen, preserved and then thawed in fusion thereof to a mouse myelomatous cell. Thereby, the cell as a parent strain for the cell fusion is subjected to the cell fusion to the mouse myelomatous cell. Furthermore, the human lymphocyte is preferably peripheral blood lymphocyte from a donor without receiving immunological sensitization by an antigen.
