Electromagnetically screened window with shutter - pivotably connected to fixed frame and leaving no gaps when closed

An electromagnetically screened window comprises a fixed frame (1) and a window shutter (6) pivotably connected on one side in which a glass plate (8) with an electromagnetic screen (25) is fixed. Both the frame (1) and the shutter frame (7) comprise two frame halves (2,3,9,10) connected to each other by a thermal isolator (4,11). When the window is closed the gap (18) between the frames (1,7) is closed by an electrically conductive, flexible contact element (9) extending along the length of the gap (18) and spanning the gap (18). The contact element (19) connects the screen (25) to at least one conductive frame screen element.
