Photocurable sealant for gaps formed between the ends of gravure printing plates on mounting on the cylinder consists of a homogeneous photopolymerisable mixt., which is free from solvent and fluid at room temp.. It contains (a) 10-90 wt.% hydrophilic, polar, photopolymerisable, ethylenically unsatd. low mol. cpd(s)., (b) 5-65 wt.% polymeric binder, which is compatible with (a) and resistant to solvents contg. toluene,petrol, ketones and/or esters, (c) 0.01-10 wt.% photopolymerisation initiator(s) and (d) 0-70 wt.% other additives.
