PURPOSE:To separate fuel stuck to a side wall from a side wall face rapidly and activate combustion at the last phase of combustion by providing a plurality of combustion gas injection port which opens from an auxiliary chamber to the bottom face peripheral side of a combustion chamber. CONSTITUTION:Fuel is injected from a central inlet on the upper side of a combustion chamber 33 to an auxiliary chamber 41 on the lower side of the combustion chamber 33 a little after a main injection in the last phase of the combustion. Combustion gas in the auxiliary chamber 41 is injected from an injection port 40 along the bottom face 37a of the combustion chamber 33 and a peripheral wall face 34, so as to generate turbulence in the combustion gas. Polling the turbulence the fuel stuck to the peripheral wall 34 is rapidly separated so as to activate the combustion. Turbulence is generated in the flow of the combustion gas in the combustion chamber 33 by reversing the direction of injection flow of the combustion gas to the direction of intake swirl so that the combustion can be much more energetic.
