Traction control for motor vehicle - derives constantly updated grip coefft. to control engine torque and wheel braking
摘要
Each wheel is fitted with a wheel-speed sensor linked to a processor control. This computes the slip of a drive wheel by comparing the drive wheel speed with the speed of the driven wheels. The system computes a grip coefft. for each wheel and updates it by repeated measurements. The newly computed grip coefft. replaces the previous coefft. if it is different than the threshold value. If one drive wheel spins the torque is controlled until it and the other drive wheels are at the threshold slip level, as computed via the updated grip coefft. The wheel-speed is controlled by a combination of engine torque reduction and wheel braking. ADVANTAGE - Improved traction, processor control continuous update.
