The rotary piston cylinder (11) has a housing (17) in which is pivot mounted a piston (18). Several operating compartments (27) are formed between the piston (18) and housing (17) and are exposed to pressure by means of hydraulic oil connections (30). The pivot piston (18) is connected to a coupling operating shaft (12), and the housing (17) connected to a coupling-housing (15). The housing (17) has circle-sector shaped cavities (31) with a pivot-piston (18) lug (25) in each circle sector. An operating compartment (27) is in the hole section between the lug (25) and housing section (26). A ventilation compartment (28) with ventilation hole (29) is in the hole section between the lug (25) and the housing section (26). USE/ADVANTAGE - The cylinder for operating a hydraulic coupling is composed of few parts, is compact and simple to install.
