The cutter for cover or journal rollers has a fixed cutter arm passed by a mechanical movable cutter (2) so mounted on a plate (3) as to form two off centre symmetrical support positions (4,5). The moving cutter (2) has a three point mounting. Bolts (8) are fixed to the mounting plate (3), springs keeping it away from the cutter (2), which pass through vertical slots (11) in which the cutter (2) can slide up and down.
