The crystallized glass for biomaterials is produced by melting at least 90 wt.% main components of 35-45 wt.% SiO2, 9-15 wt.% P2O5, 33-40 wt.% CaO and 4-10 wt.% Na2O with at most 10 wt.% one or more components of MgO, K2O, B2O3, ZrO2, TiO2, and CaF2 to obtain the main crystalline phase of CaO SiO2 and Na2Ca2SiO9, rapid-cooling in water tank, crushing into below 200 mesh, moulding a certain shape, heat-treating at 850-1125 deg.C for 1-20 hours to precipitate crystalline. The bioglass is very bioactive, and has a good mechanical strength.
